Our Cloggers

Miranda (Director)

Miranda (Mandy)  has been clogging for 36 years and clogged competitively for 30 years with Southern Junction Cloggers.  She has competed in clogging competitions throughout the Southeast, performed in Upstate parades, performances, nursing homes and local festivals.  She was also fortunate enough to clog in the 2001 and 2005 Junior Olympics and says her most magical experience was clogging at Disney World, not once, but twice!

Her entire family shares the love of clogging and although her last competition with SJC was in April of 2022, Mandy was not ready to put away her clogging shoes and continued to teach her daughters clogging and stay an active part of the clogging competition community.  Mandy says she is "blessed with the opportunity to share her love and passion for clogging with others"  In 2024, Mandy decided it was time to back on stage and to share her passion with the next generation and is now the Director of Next Generation Cloggers.

Alexa

Hi! My name is Alexa Padgett. I started clogging in 1990 with my 2 daughters who were 5 and 6 at the time. We danced with the Dixie Delight Cloggers in Greenwood, SC, for many years, performing at local festivals and events. When this clogging group ended, I joined the Abbeville Cloggers in Abbeville, SC. Recently this group changed its name to the Palmetto Stompers. I currently dance with this group of great ladies. As a middle school teacher for the past 40 years, I have had several clogging teams made up of middle school students at Brewer and Westview Middle Schools here in Greenwood. My husband Chris and I have 4 children, thirteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. I love clogging, especially in competitions. I am so happy to be part of this new group here in Greenwood, the Next Generation Cloggers, and look forward to many awesome performances and competitions!

Beth

I'm Elizabeth Hepler, and I've been dancing since I was just a little girl starting with tap, ballet, and jazz. When I was 13, I started clogging with the Dixie Delight Cloggers and I fell in love with the energetic percussive folk style of dance. After years of performing and competing, at around the age of 20, I branched out and founded my own group, The Carolina Cloggers. I spent 13 years dancing and competing at all levels while providing lessons and choreographing original routines. Later in my career, as an instructor, I taught at All That Jazz and led an additional group called Southern Thunder. As family life happened, I focused on teaching my children and exploring different genres of dance, including belly dancing - which I competed in for seven years. Now, I'm thrilled to be clogging with Next Generation Cloggers.  I also enjoy assisting with the mini Cloggers! Movement and music are so important and dancing makes others smile, which I love to see. Remember, where words fail, music speaks. Much Love Y'all!

Brooke

Hi, I’m Brooke, and I’ve been clogging for over 30 years. Even when I stepped away from competing, I never stopped dancing. I’ve been fortunate to win awards individually and with a team, be named to the All-American Clogging Team, and medal at the Junior Olympics. But more than anything, I just love to dance — it’s always felt like home to me.

Leslie

I’m Leslie and I started dancing, including tap, jazz, and ballet, at age 4. I started clogging at the age of 10 and fell in love with it. I clogged, both recreationally and competitively, with Dixie Delight Cloggers. I also continued dancing at a local dance studio throughout high school. I danced with the Emerald High School dance team and then joined the Lander University dance company where I received the Carol Neubner dance scholarship and minored in dance.  While in college, I started teaching dance at Dance Fever, and continued through adulthood. I was excited when Next Generation Cloggers was formed and I could again enjoy my love of clogging.

Sally

Hi, I’m Sally Moore! I began clogging with my mom (Alexa) and sister when I was just 6 years old (around 37 years!). I’ve participated in some competitions through the years, but I mostly just clogged recreationally. I was excited when the opportunity arose to clog again as an adult with Next Generation Cloggers! I have enjoyed the challenge of learning new steps and competing, as well as the new friendships I have made! I am happily married (almost 21 years) to Thomas Moore. We have three beautiful daughters, Lila, Violet and Mary Anders!

Autumn

Autumn has been clogging since she was 13.5 months old.  She is the oldest daughter of Mandy. Autumn has been apart of Next Generation Cloggers since it formed participating in festivals and the junior assistant with the tiny tot cloggers. This upcoming competition I am so proud of Autumn as she learned our adult traditional line formation dance to fill in for an adult!  Autumn is also a competitive team member at Point of Grace Dance. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old. Her first dance teacher was her aunt! She started competing at 5 years old. Autumn is also a member of her middle school dance program. Autumn is so excited to continue dance and clogging!

Adrianna

Adrianna (Addy) has been clogging since she was 15.5 months old.  She is the youngest daughter of Mandy. Addy has been apart of Next Generation Cloggers since it formed participating in festivals, competing freestyle solo, and the recreational team.  Addy will be competing with the tiny tot cloggers for their first team dance on the 21st!  So excited to see her and her team on stage!  Addy is also a competitive team member at Point of Grace Dance. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She started competing at 5 years old. Addy is so excited to continue to dance and clog!

Hollee

Rowan

Rowan has been clogging with Mrs. Mandy for 3 years.  Rowan has been apart of Next Generation Cloggers since it formed participating in festivals and the recreational team.  Rowan will be competing with the tiny tot cloggers for their first team dance on the 21st!  So excited to see her and her team on stage!  Rowan also does gymnastics! So excited to have her on Next Generation Tiny Tot team!
